I just wanted to let everyone know that there are some bumps in the road coming up – some of you might have already hit them. I started my blog experiment On January 14th 2010 (yes – I know that was only 6 weeks ago) with the idea that I needed to teach myself a little about the technology surrounding blogging, RSS feeds, bit.ly, feed-burner subscriptions, and on and on.

I have learned a lot so far – mostly what not to do, but you can learn more from failing than if everything works out perfectly. So in that spirit, I am about to learn a whole lot!
The original blog location for Life of an Architect was on Blogger (I suppose it still is really) but as I was looking for more tricks and tips, widgets and plug-ins, I keep running into the need to learn more and more code, which was not my goal. I have also made some new and good friends (Paul Anater – Kitchen and Residential Design blogger, and Tom Mighell – inter alia : an internet legal research weblog ) who have really help me along the way. Since the writing on the wall was indicating that I would eventually be making this switch to having my own domain and hosting my site, it seemed better to upset the apple cart before it got full.
So if you get a bunch a garbage, and I’m not talking about the typical stuff I write, but rather multiple postings, broken links, missing pictures, etc. over the next few days, let me apologize now. I really hope that if things get to off, you will come over to the site and re-subscribe because I will miss you
Thanks for reading, hopefully all will be right in a few days with brand new fresh garbage will coming your way.
